Eligibility criteria for the 3rd National Level Best SHG Federation Awards 2023

The National Level SHG Best Federation Awards 2023 are meant to recognize, applaud & honor outstanding performances of SHG Federations in India.

The Awards event is slated to be held in Hyderabad on 10 and 11 October 2023

All SHG Federations from Rural, Semi Urban or Urban areas, either promoted by Government or NGOs are eligible to send their nominations. SHG Federations fulfilling the following eligibility criteria shall be considered for the National Awards 2023

Federations in mainland areas – Minimum 2000 women members or 200 SHGs
Federations in Hilly areas or ITDA recognised tribal areas – Minimum 700 women members or 100 SHGs.
Completed 3 years of functioning since registration.
Have achieved Operational self-sufficiency in the last three years.

From this year onwards, there will be specific themes. For 2023, the theme for the "Special Category Award" is "SHG Federation Run Enterprise". Criteria for Special Category Awards:

The Enterprise should have an existence for at least 3 years
The last business turnover should be minimum of Rs. 20 lakhs
A minimum of 300 members are utilizing the services of the enterprise.

Selection Procedure

Nominations of eligible SHG Federations can be submitted by promoters or directly by the SHG Federation, in the prescribed short formats (Part 1 to 4)
Once the SHG Federations have been shortlisted, then another set of detailed formats to be filled, shall be sent to the SELECTED / SHORTLISTED SHG FEDERATIONS ONLY who shall then submit the required data as requested.
An expert committee shall review the nominations & recommend shortlisted SHG Federations to Jury for various Awards.
These recommendations shall be further evaluated by an eminent Jury to choose the final winners under each Category.
For regional level awards, based on the applications received, Jury may segregate applications into Matured & Emerging Federations and after review of the data Jury will take a decision on ToP – 2 Federations for the regional awards.

Please read all the instructions before attempting to fill the nomination forms.

All the information provided in the nomination form will be used solely for evaluating applicant SHG Federation according to parameters decided by the Awards Secretariat.
All the documents submitted towards completion of the nomination form will be the property of the Awards Secretariat.
Nomination must be accompanied by:
- Three years' audited financial statements,
- Demand collection balance register and
- SHG MIS. Without these three documents, the nomination will not be accepted.
Decision of the jury will be final and binding. Every effort has been made to ensure that due consideration is given to all the applications received based on the parameters decided under each category. No further queries will be entertained by the Awards Secretariat or the Jury.
The organizer and the sponsor will not assume any liability for loss or damage of any kind by use of the information provided herein.
The organizers are not responsible for any dispute or disagreements.
The nomination consists of four parts and all four parts have to be filled sequentially.
Before submitting each part, please verify the correctness of data entered. Once the data is submitted, it cannot be changed.
It is suggested to print the form first and fill it manually before filling the form online. Hard copies will not be accepted.
